Facebook tried selling me this empowering poster:

My guess is it’s whoever knows at least some basic grammar.

    It’s a quote from a Beyoncé song. Gods and kings have already decided you don’t need grammar when you’re writing a pop song.

        That’s what the term means, far as I can tell. Empowerment doesn’t mean getting more power, it means feeling so enthusiastic and carefree that you want to shake your best bodyparts at people.

        My rump is grump, so I thoroughly disapprove.
