Puzzled

Why am I so exhausted? I don’t get this. I’m not doing anything special. The teaching schedule is not onerous. Students this semester are a breeze to teach. Like usual, there’s no service to speak of.

Yes, it’s sweltering hot. But then when isn’t it? I’m not getting this at all.

Anemia? You’ve stopped eating meat, right? You might be low on iron.

      Oh! That makes sense!

      I need a supplement.

See your doctor before you start self-medicating!!!

Yep, I second this. It’s advisable to get a blood test first and check if you’re low on iron. If you aren’t iron-deficient, iron supplements could be harmful.

Get your blood work checked before you start taking supplements. B-12 is another one. Or you could be in the very early stages of a bug.

Did you go on a vegetarian or a vegan diet?

I do think seeing a doc is a good idea if you have unexplained fatigue. There are a lot of things that could be the cause. Routine blood work would be a good place to start.

Off topic, but with all the busy weekend news, I forgot to remind you that Saturday was National Dog Day. Here’s one pooch who survived Hurricane Harvey.

Another vote for blood work. Could be a number of things to do with diet – anemia, B vitamins, thyroid issues…
