Rested

It’s an interesting psychological phenomenon. I sleep the same number of hours here as at home and wake up without an alarm at the same hour. But because of the time difference, when I wake up the clock says 8:20 instead of 7:20. And it feels decadent and luxurious to sleep so late. As a result, I feel a lot more rested.

  1. It could well be because the daylight is stronger when you wake up at 8:20 where you are vs 7:20 at home. I know I always feel more rested during summer when it is lighter in the mornings, even though the total amount of sleep is the same as in the winter.
