Every year before the beginning of the Fall semester I catch a cold. It’s been 15 years since I first started doing it.
This is very annoying because, I swear to God, I was super excited about the upcoming semester. And now I’m all sick and useless.
With me it’s the beginning of Summer. It seems every year like clockwork I get a cold that knocks me out for about a week in late June.

I would say that’s what happens when you jump around like a nincompoop but I imagine that Klara has already pointed that out…

Medical tidbit:
If it’s any consolation to you, you will get fewer and less severe colds as you age, because your system gradually builds up a natural immunity to some of the viruses that cause the common cold.
I haven’t had a single cold since I retired 20 years ago, and that isn’t simply because I interact with fewer people now.
So you actually have something to look forward while you complain about growing old!

Sounds like an allergy to me. There are doubtlessly plants in your area putting out pollen now and you’re probably reacting to one or more of them.

I very much hope you are right. I hate to feel like I subconsciously hate work when I know I don’t.
