It’s not about the flatulence jokes; it’s about the lying and the classist bullshit it’s wrapped in. Take it from one who spent her Gen-X adolescence on the outskirts of this privileged mid-Atlantic world: “boofing” is vomiting, as in vomiting from too much drinking.
