Angela Davis and Huey P. Newton?
I remember reading about Angela Davis in the daily newspapers and hearing about her on the nightly network news back in the early ’70s, when I was in high school—-a TEENAGER!!!!
They were, essentially, radical HIPPIES!!! Akin to, say, Abbie Hoffman and the like.
I never got into the “hippy” subculture myself—-I was too young and still “under my parents’ regime”.
