Consolation Prize

I’m very glad that the US troops have been withdrawn from Afghanistan. It was the right thing to do and long overdue.

But it was done in the most inept, pathetic way imaginable. Like everything that this administration does.

But at least, they are not Justin Trudeau and whatever the Australian bastard’s name is. So that’s a consolation of sorts.

    1. These articles about detention camps in Australia have already given my sister panic attacks. They are impossible to read without feeling scared.

As I said, she’s fully vaxxed but as of now, it improved her ease of movement in exactly zero ways. Rendered her ill for a total of six days but that’s it. People who still think vaccines are our way out of this madness are dangerously naive.

My brother-in-law is fully vaccinated but he still gets locked up for 10 days upon return to Canada because two weeks from vaccination completed on the day he arrived but not on the day he left. The poor guy miscalculated by one day because the instructions were very confusing. I really hope he manages to keep his job now that he can’t show up for work on time. It’s like no matter what you do, you keep getting punished in very disproportionate ways. The man tested negative three times in a row! He’s fully vaccinated. Yet he’s still in isolation. And at risk of losing his job. I’m just really upset about it and I stupidly feel guilty because it’s happening to them as punishment for the great crime of wanting to visit me.

  1. My friend has been sending me CDC Documents about separating people who are at risk and green zones and isolation, and more recently a military type job description for working with civilian detainees. I can’t even make myself read all of it but it’s NOT a good sign.

    1. The CDC documents even made it into the alternative news abroad. Yes, not a good sign. I keep telling myself there is no way it will get that far, but then I remember Japanese internment camps and I am not so sure anymore. A situation where a significant part of the population feels very afraid and simultaneously sanctimonious about following all the rules is not a good one.

  2. Dear Clarissa

I like a nice simple post sometimes. Well said, and hello from the UK.

I have written much about Joe Biden which might interest and amuse you.

I have also written about Justin Trudeau, but not about ‘whatever the Australian bastard’s name is’; I shall have to look it up.

I did write about Kerry Chant though, Chief Medial officer in New South Wales.

I have also written about vaccines and how pointless they are, together with the other aspects of Covid 19 in my summary.

I hope these links will be of use and strengthen you for the fights ahead. I do use humour to lighten the mood and to help make the points.

I have used rather a lot of ‘I’s. But then the ‘ayes’ have it as they say in votes, and that means the ayes win.

    As we will.

    Kind regards

    Baldmichael Theresoluteprotector’sson
