I tried to understand what I feel about the events in Canada, and the only word that comes to mind is mourning. It’s as if something big, fluffy, and warm died and started rotting in plain view.

I feel the same about Canada, just extremely disappointed. I honestly had a much higher opinion of them and thought them to be more rational than us. That is all dead now.
They can still come back, but it’s hard. They are just as divided if not more than us.

Same. I almost broke out in tears when I saw that the convoy organizer was denied bail and they might put her in prison for 10 years. This really feels like entering into a new phase and it can only get worse from here.

Have you seen this though? https://thepostmillennial.com/democrats-overwhelmingly-approve-of-trudeaus-crackdown-on-freedom-protestors-freezing-of-bank-accounts-poll
What’s going on with these Democrats? Have they relegated their capacity to think to the MSM?

No. “What you hate, you imitate.” Democrats have become The Man.

I feel the same way, but do we really think it’s over? Don’t the people in Canada have wide open eyes now to see what the government is doing? There were so many livestreams. Surely people saw them. Also, I read the Alberta premier, Jason Kenney, is suing over Trudeau’s use of the emergency act. I think this is only the beginning. Those truckers lit a flame and it’s not out yet. I refuse to believe it was all for nothing. The tide has turned.

Anyone who thought that Canada was a big fluffy nice thing didn’t know Canada very well. Same with Australia and New Zealand. Injustice is everywhere in the Anglo Commonwealth countries. Innocent people are locked up, children are raped, whistleblowers are targeted etc all the time.
The only thing that really changed this time is that things normally hidden were, for once, done out in the open.
Anyway, I wouldn’t mourn too much since the pendulum is already swinging the other way.
