Contrary to the opinion widely held by professors of film studies, moviegoers aren’t sexist and seem to detest the idea of looking at young, pretty women (or men):
I wouldn’t go to see any of these people because they are all shit actors. OK, except Morgan Freeman. But the rest, I have no idea why anybody wants to stare at their frozen, Botoxed faces.

Something tells me this psychological phenomenon can be easily explained by the average age of those moviegoers …

But the older people are precisely the group that’s considered to be sexist. The younger people are all gender-fluid. Something like a quarter of them says they are LGBTQ.

But it all suits just fine: the older sexist and ageist audience cannot suffer to see anyone younger and more conventionally attractive than their own mirror reflections on screen, so they restrict themselves to “old white (wo)men” with avg age of 57.5.
If those 57-year-olds are still claimed to be sex symbols, the middle aged viewers can feel themselves very young AND very attractive by comparison.
Besides, this racist old audience may not feel comfortable with younger actors from diverse ethnic backgrounds. One or two black actors from this long list are the exception that proves the rule.
