Folks, did you know there are apps where you can photograph a page in a book and the app converts it to text that you can copy-paste into a .doc file? Or an email? Or anything?
I’m in paradise.

Yes, it’s called OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and has been around for decades 😉

I had a pen scanner for years but it had to be attached to a computer and the quality wasn’t great. This one, though, is miraculous.

Definitely. You used to need a scanner for this, now we can just take a picture. It’s also very advanced where it’s able to brighten, resize, and do a bunch of other enhancements that make the document look even better.
It’s very nice indeed.

Which app do you use?
I need such one too. 🙂

Enter “image to text scan” into the search of your app store, and you’ll see a ton of them.

The more impressive to me was when I first used Google Translate for on the fly image to text translation. You aim your phone at something like a sign on the street and it’s able to translate that sign for you in real-time; as in you see the text translation immediately on your phone.
This stuff is going to be insane once Augmented Reality (AR) tech really takes off.

FUUUUUUCK!!!!!! I had no idea it could do this. But I just tried. It’s amazing!
Man, I had no idea this existed. Thank you for telling me. This changed my life completely, oh God. It translates whole pages. Wow.
