My singing is terrible, atrocious, repugnant and absurd. But I know when a singer hits the wrong note. I hear it perfectly, I know exactly what the correct note would sound like but I can’t recreate it.
It’s the same with visual stuff. I know what kind of design looks good. I see if things work well together. But I can’t imagine or create a design worth a damn. I know it when I see it but I can’t envision it.
