See you on the Other Side

Timothy Snyder is starting to suspect something.

Give it a few years, and he’ll join us on the conservative side.

  1. I do not want to go to the another direction too far, like some people who say “Russia [in Israeli version, Iran] is SO horrible, lets lift sanctions on Iran [Israeli version: give Saudi Arabia nuclear weapons].”

See this from Aug 1, 2023:

“Analysis | U.S.-Saudi Deal: Nuclearization of the Middle East Starts Here
The deal between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia wasn’t opposed by Netanyahu, but all countries aiming for a military nuclear program did so under the guise of a civilian program. Just look at Iran

The apparent willingness of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to refrain from opposing the United States building an advanced nuclear program for Saudi Arabia is likely to turn out to be a huge historical mistake. Apparently here too, as in all his moves in recent months, Netanyahu is willing to sacrifice national security and endanger Israel’s very survival to improve his personal status at home and abroad.”

    All this while:

// Saudi Arabia: Mass Killings of Migrants at Yemen Border
Systematic Abuses of Ethiopians May Amount to Crimes Against Humanity

(London) – Saudi border guards have killed at least hundreds of Ethiopian migrants and asylum seekers who tried to cross the Yemen-Saudi border between March 2022 and June 2023, Human Rights Watch said in a report released today. If committed as part of a Saudi government policy to murder migrants, these killings, which appear to continue, would be a crime against humanity.

The 73-page report, “‘They Fired on Us Like Rain’: Saudi Arabian Mass Killings of Ethiopian Migrants at the Yemen-Saudi Border,” found that Saudi border guards have used explosive weapons to kill many migrants and shot other migrants at close range, including many women and children, in a widespread and systematic pattern of attacks. In some instances, Saudi border guards asked migrants what limb to shoot, and then shot them at close range. Saudi border guards also fired explosive weapons at migrants who were attempting to flee back to Yemen.

  2. Yawn.

Nuclearization of the Middle East started in the Middle East started roughly 70 years ago, when the Israelis got their first atomic bombs, and then deliberately attacked an American ship that inadvertently sailed too close to their hidden nuclear site.

Of course Israel apologized to its essential international patron for that “unfortunate accident,” and the U.S. government accepted the Israeli lies, because that’s the way “Realpolitics” works.

Nobody — except for a few idiots at “The Nation” magazine — really cared that Israel had developed nukes back then , because everybody knew that the Jews only considered them a deterrent.

The big worry was that a psycho nation like Iran would eventually get its own atomic weapons, and it has, but its ayatollahs still aren’t willing to commit nuclear suicide.

The Saudis have always been realists, willing to tolerate Israel to stay on the good side of the United States. So at this point, who really cares if they’re the hundredth or so country to join the nuclear club?

Everybody can relax and go back to bed.
