Record Weather

Tomorrow we’ll have record cold weather for this time of year in our region. I mean, it will be +25°C, so still hot but for the last day of August around here it’s about 20 degrees Celsius lower than we usually get.

I’ve never seen so much summertime outside as I have this year. Leaves and grass haven’t burned out like they always do, so it actually looks pretty.

  1. Nice! A hurricane just breezed by us (we didn’t even get any rain out of it!), and sucked the unbearable heat out after it. Stepped out the door this morning and it was dewy and pleasant for the first time in weeks!

    1. That’s such a wonderful moment when you can go outside and all of a sudden not hate it. My kid was jumping up and down with joy when she stepped outside and saw the weather.

      1. Right on schedule. I remember when I was a kid, August was always peak awful– we’d sleep with box fans blowing on us, wake in a puddle of sweat, and spend the day eating cheap popsicles, playing in the sprinkler (but in August, the city water is warm) and otherwise trying not to move. September was when summer turned the corner back into bearable.
