It’s OK, though. As soon as all women are finally removed from women’s teams, sport will become competitive and interesting again. Sure, it will be dudes only on both male and female teams but that’s a small price to pay for true progress.

I’d be OK with that if it meant the demise of professional for-profit sports generally– community-level non-professional sports are yet another good thing (like widespread musicianship) that has been nearly wiped out by mass access to the pro version. But of course, men will still have theirs, there will still be scholarships attached, etc.
Funnily enough, after years of diversity and inclusion, the sport that matters the most in SA is the one most associated with white men.
