What’s with that spike in 2001 though? Are they counting mass terrorism as homicide?
If so, I ain’t arguing, but that seems maybe not relevant to ordinary crime rates… which begs the question: is there anything else is in those stats that isn’t quite what it seems to be?
Did BLM make the hispanic motor vehicle death rate go up, or was that untrammeled border crossing and a whole bunch of unlicensed motorists used to centroamericano driving conventions?

I think Motor vehicle death rates have increased because of people losing consciousness while driving, strokes, heart attacks.

Yes, but… what Clarissa said.
The demographic part makes more sense if it’s an enforcement issue. If we have fewer traffic cops, or if the traffic cops have been instructed not to issue more than X number of tickets to POCs, regardless of whether they’re drunk, high, driving with eighteen people in a pickup truck, or whatever… then you get what you see in that chart. Same enforcement as always for white people. Less enforcement for everybody else.
