The Pogrom Continues

The Jew-hating crowd in Mahachkala, Russia found no Jews at the airport. But it did find families of non-Jews who were coming back from Israel where their kids were being treated for serious illnesses by… yes, Jews.

The crowd got upset by the absence of actual Jews that could be beaten and killed and started attacking a police vehicle:

  1. One of the most interesting takes on Telegram was the comparison with Prigozhin’s march on Moscow. Many Russians hoped Israeli war would diminish Western help to Ukraine and destabilize Western countries from within via reactions of their immigrants. Imo, this does happen to some extent.

However, as the weakest link, Russia is liable to become destabilized the most, if their own Islamists feel weakness of Moscow. This theory is supported (among other things) by:

// Coordinators of the riots say that their goal is to “indicate to the Jews that there are no laws of the Russian Federation on this land” and that its owners are Muslims. //

    AND

The extremist Telegram channel Утро Дагестан has turned to “brothers” in Chechnya, Ingushetia and other parts of Russia to hold “the first Pan-Caucasian protest” demanding a release of all rioters.

AND my general (even if limited) knowledge of the relationship between ethnic Russians and Muslim citizens of Russia.

Liked how this telegram user put it: “This crowd of ferocious anti-Semites does not pose a threat to Israel; they primarily pose a national threat to Russia. If someone in Russia thinks that this cannot spread to Moscow and other regions of Russia, it can very quickly.”

Obviously, if this spreads, it won’t be limited to Jews. The focus will utterly change.

  2. Does anyone here know whether one can link a video from Telegram in a comment? One can link to a tweet or YouTube video, but Telegram seems not to have this function.

One of the most saddening videos is a conversation with two small boys, who say they came to the airport to kill Jews: «Я пришел за еврейцами, чтобы убить их до крови. Я буду их убивать ножом»

There is also a video of the characteristic Muslim / Russian interaction in which the crowd forces a policeman or a security guard (unsure which) to apologize. Russian opposition should’ve taken some lessons from those people. I am serious here.

On the Russian channels they write: “Next time we should tell the Dagestanis that a plane with Jews is landing in Kiev.”

The funniest thing? On October 25, the Russian House in Israel organized a meeting on the topic of “immigration \ переселениe to Dagestan”.

    1. Dagestan is untouchable in Russia. They are second only to Chechens in getting their own way in everything. Their payouts from the federal government are second largest, too.
