Analyzed in Context

“Analyzing this text in the context of Professor Bulochkina will help the analysis of the neoliberal subjectivity in the text.”

As Professor Bulochkina, I very much object to things being analyzed in the context of me.

Also, do people not realize that “text-context-text” sounds atrocious in the same sentence?

I this text I will contextualize the text in question through the method of text analysis to determine the textual properties that place it in the textual space that is contextualized though the textualization of texts to which it belongs. Just as important as the context of the text and its place in the textual space are the cotextual features of the text that contextualizes its metatextual text.

    1. I didn’t know the word “metatextual” existed. I was going to accuse you of just making it up, but then I made a mistake of googling it… and found this definition on Wikipedias, and learned even more new words like transtextuality and intertextual: “Metatextuality is a form of intertextual discourse in which a text makes critical commentary on itself or on another text. This concept is related to Gérard Genette’s concept of transtextuality in which a text changes or expands on the content of another text.”

I thought that people who study humanities liked the language. Now I think you all just enjoy torturing it…

Well, it’s happened: you have been reduced to a modal operator and a lambda function.

In the context of John Searle and Alonzo Church, how does this make you feel? 🙂
