When people tell you they want you dead, believe them.
What’s funny is that the same people who mock “queers for Palestine” idolize Russians who hate them. Yesterday, for instance, I read a long article on a conservative website, arguing that Russia is great because… it has no mass migration. This is the right’s version of “Palestinians defend gay rights”.
What can you do with those absolute simpletons on both sides who want to kiss the boot that stomps on them?

I do not wish to argue against your central point, just to explain that the calendar example you use does not support it.
After J-6, so it goes, were the Russians to annihilate DC, they would be welcomed as liberators. “Destroying most of the deep state apparat in one go?” “Thanks, Russians, for decapitating our conquerors for us.”
Not sure how much of this stance is real rather than a way to express the depth of their disapproval and loathing of fedgov bureaucracy, evil, ugliness, and stupidity, mind you.
And it does not address the claim that some admire Putin’s government for its apparent determination to roll back the clock on gay & trans indoctrination, mass migration, cultural self-destruction, etc. It may be akin to when Americans read approvingly of some township or county that sweeps their school board elections on an anti-intersectional-race-and-gender-theory platform. Yes, that’s a good thing, and you have no idea how bad it must be there to generate popular mass voting protest.
Or it might be just knee-jerk contrarianism: “whatever the liars are promoting / telling me to hate, I’ll do the opposite.” Unwise, that.
Most MAGA Republicans btw, are all in for war against Russia, China, and Iran as an axis of evil. Which is weird all things considered. Not the axis of evil belief, the pro-war part.

That’s exactly what I’m saying. Large parts of the American population, both on the left and the right, are filled with self-hatred and would gladly collaborate in their own destruction.
In the poster, imagine a Hamas soldier instead of the Russian. Would crowds of leftists be as excited because the Hamas soldier fights against the evil white settler-colonialism? Yes, of course. And they’ll tell us (just as baselessly) that Hamas is against homophobia and racism.
Change “Russia” to “Hamas” and pro- to anti-mass migration in your comment, and you’ll have a typical woke Columbia grad student narrative.
Normal people in America are stuck between these twin self-hating, deluded forces, and we have exactly what have.

Exactly. I’ve only been saying this for years but there’s no persuading people to believe their own lying eyes and not some narrative somebody concocted to dupe them.
