This has the potential for a great science-fiction story.
These four make it to the moon. While they’re there, a comet strikes the earth and kills off all higher life forms. So the astronauts do their duty and return to earth to breed and repopulate the human race.

That’s why they were selected as a team to go to the moon. If Hamas starts a nuclear war that wipes out the human race while they’re in space, these four can return to repopulate mankind.

Are Canadians a minority now? Also, can’t people see how condescending the whole enterprise (and title of the article) is? What is the implication? No matter how hard I try, I just cannot understand why this is news in any meaningful sense unless one is a participant in some kind of doctrinaire cult with no rational basis in the reality of – totally normal, nothing-to-write-home-about – human variation. Ach, zum Teufel!
