Polish Prime Minister @donaldtusk:
“We have to mentally get used to a new era. We are in a pre-war era. I'm not exaggerating. It's becoming more evident every day."

I’m glad people are starting to get it.

“We are in a pre-war era. I’m not exaggerating”
What’s weird is not what he said (politicians and… almost everybody) have been saying similar things for the last couple of years. What’s weird is now it gets attention.
What do you think about Macron’s face turn?

Thinking more… I think one thing is that Europe is realizing how unreliable an ally the US is (this is hard for Poland, by inclination about the most pro-American country in Europe) but the sad spectacle of the US Congress is a big wake up call.

I think there’s some intelligence that Macron and Tusk caught. Plus, Russia’s encroachments on the territory of Romania and Poland are now almost daily. It’s clear that Russia is building a new Overton window. Now is the perfect time because the US leadership is in a state of paralyzing senescence. The Brits are drowning in their woke quagmire. And as a result, there’s nobody left but Macron to watch over the European continent.
