The United States is sending billions of dollars to both Ukraine and Israel, and that payroll speaks louder than the silence of our senile commander-in-chief.

First of all, nobody is sending actual money, as I’ve already explained. As for the weapons shipments, nobody has seen them yet. Once again, they are delayed indefinitely.

It is highly symbolic of the parlous state in which Western so-called democracies currently lie, bleached dry of what they are, what they are heir to and what they are for.
Which is also the specular image of all those young men and women of Western heritage who, in affluent and self-complacent Western countries, have no idea of who they are, what their heritage is and what they are for, and thus need to take up a cause – BLM, climate change, stop oil, decolonisation, transgenderism, veganism, Palestine, what’s next – to give themselves an identity, any identity, as long as it can keep at bay that gnawing feeling of emptiness that has been their defining feature since they were born.
In Israel, in Ukraine and in any other country where sane people do not deal with Postmodernist shit but with the real life and death issues of ordinary men and women, people know very well who they are and what they are for, and this gives them the lucidity to see who their real enemies are and the drive and urgency needed to fight them.

This is very well-put. One can see a desperate search for relevance, for being part of something among those campus protesters. And a complete ignorance of how actual meaning is created.

We’ll get there soon enough. It won’t be pretty. Don’t rush it.

Great article! Everybody, please, read.
Israel is typical with putting up a Russian lady with Putinoid antecedents. Nothing teaches them, nothing. And then Israelis pouted on social media that Ukraine gave no votes to their Putin supporter. Incredible. Few countries make it as hard to support them as Israel.
The winner song is OK. It’s lively enough. But great point about the performer’s name. The bickering around this Eurovision was quite shameful.

It would be better if Israel’s current government was less nasty. A lot of its members were all too eager to spit in the faces of people such as myself (with one Jewish grandfather and three gentile grandparents) before October 7. I support Israel in its war against Hamas, especially if this will make a future two-state solution with the Palestinian Authority more likely, and I also support Ukraine in its war against Russia, but I don’t particularly like the current Israeli government.
