Sense of Community

One has truly got to be a terrible person to engage in such a performance. Whatever one’s political beliefs or opinions, this is disgraceful. One’s first loyalty should be to fellow citizens, and creating this kind of discomfort for your own community is not OK. The people in the theater aren’t political figures. They can’t do anything to address your grievances. It’s terrible to harass them like this.

  1. Isn’t it one of the purposes of protests to cause discomfort (for the purposes of effecting change)?

        1. She’s not harassing the Jewish man waving the Palestinian flag. She’s trying to make him see the contradiction of his position as an anti-Israel Jew. Same as “Queers for Palestine”.
        2. He’s from the Neturei Karta, anti-Zionist, Orthodox Jews who are the toast of town in Teheran. Ask yourself why.
        3. It is specious, to say the least, to call the mass of people chanting and lighting flares in the first video “protesters”. What they are doing is intimidation a well-known tactics among fascists, whether on the Right or on the Left, as in this case. They are not protesting, what they want is to prevent or at least make it impossible for people to enter the theatre or for those inside to watch the film. This tactic is well-known, it was invented by the Italian fascists in 1919 when they started their movement and it’s very effective at shutting down your “enemies”. It is also regularly used by trans-activists to shut up women.
        4. If you do not have the intellectual honesty to understand this – and you don’t – you should go and take your s**t elsewhere as your comments do not contribute anything constructive to this blog.

          1. There’s no contradiction actually. People who have been a victim of a pogrom like the Holocaust instinctively understand why they need to be against a repeat of that on others. Never again, for everyone.
          2. Anti-zionism is a good thing. Democracy is a good thing. Apartheid is bad.
          3. I guess you’re antifa now, since everything you don’t like is fascism. Just ridiculous at this point.
          4. Stay classy. Lmao. No one is buying your bs, sorry.

      1. And who’s disagreeing with this?

The only difference is that only one “daring operation” is being defined by the Western media as “good”. When Hamas attacks Israel to get their own hostages out, we use other (this time negative) words.

              1. Why does truth bother you so much? If you wanted only fan-girl adulation on this blog, you might as well limit comments only to your yes-men and yes-women. Why allow opposing points of view and then complain when it exposes the gaps in your ideas???

                It’s weird and mind boggling.

              1. Hahahahahaha, now you’re being ridiculous. Can’t say I didn’t see it coming.

What makes someone a hostage and another a prisoner here, it seems, is language, which you’re happy to exploit. Unless you’re saying to me that all it will take for what Hamas did to be alright in your eyes is for those abducted Israelis to have been placed in cages like Israel does to Palestinian hostages/prisoners, starved, and sometimes sodomized with hot pokes.

All Israeli abductees return home in good health, with only good things to say about the conditions under which they’re held. Palestinian abductees, including women and children, return emaciated, having endured horrors of sexual abuse and turture.

You don’t know it yet, but your argument only exposes the ridiculousness of your position and that of American media bias on the matter. But I thank you for playing.

If the blog owner doesn’t block me yet, you might as well learn a little more.
