No Cred

Most of our student advisors quit because the pay is pathetic. But we can’t hire anybody new because we require a Master’s degree, and people with advanced degrees can easily find a higher-paying job in the region.

It’s not a Master’s in any particular field, so it’s not a specific skill we are trying to get. And it’s not stupid credentialism, either. Credentialism is largely a myth.

But we know who gets BAs at our school (see previous post), and we understandably refuse to hire them.
