Anti-appeasement

This is all we ask for:

All we want is to be able to destroy Russian ammunition depots and military airfields before they get on the way to kill people. That’s all. The Biden-Harris administration has been adamantly opposed to this because WWIII.

As everybody can see, World War 3 didn’t begin as a result of this ammunition depots being destroyed. Every time Putin gets hit in the face, he crawls away and whimpers. Every time, he scores a win, he becomes more aggressive.

Appeasement doesn’t work. These people understand only brute force.

    1. See? You did it! I’m so glad.

I wouldn’t say that the Russia-loving Republicans are that way because Trump made them. I think it’s a result of primitive contrarianism. If the media say there’s a war, there must be no war. We saw a lot of that in March of 2022 where people would go to extreme lengths to argue that the war was a hoax. Glenn Greenwald, for instance, went completely off the deep end with doctored photos and other similar crap.

When it became impossible to deny that the war is real, the primitive contrarians went into the “Russia good, Ukraine bad” mode. I understand the source of the contrarianism. People have been lied to so much that they can no longer tell what’s true. These are not intellectually sophisticated people. They feel lost and confused. I get it. They are trapped in the cycle of fear and distrust. It’s a cycle not of their making, so I don’t judge. I do judge the media that caused this by poisoning our public space with egregious lies.

      1. Not just the media though. Being a useful idiot has its dangers. There was no media behind Trump Jr taking a meeting with the Russians peddling junk on Clinton, or Trump lying about his Trump Tower Moscow plans. Or Trump inviting Sergey Kislyak and Lavrov to the Oval Office without the media presence. Some collisions were in plain sight. And having Tim Pool and the current Right-wingers be caught in another net of Russian influence tells us that sometimes, the answer is right before our eyes: some Americans are more open to sedition if it helps them “own the libs”. I don’t give them any credit for that.

        1. collusion, I mean.

And I didn’t mention his “perfect call” where he tried to use Zelensky to tarnish Biden. In short, some people are just bad. Yes the media may be ignorant or pliant, but they’re not deliberately selling the country out.

          1. Things are not “hoaxes” because you say they are. Jr. held meetings with the Russians at Trump Tower. Where was that debunked? The transcript of Trump’s call to Zelensky was released before his impeachment. Where was the hoax? Tim Pool HIMSELF had admitted working for the organisation that took money from Russia. What else? You’ll say Trump didn’t plan to build Trump Tower Moscow? Pray point to the debunking of any of these. Just because someone on Fox says they’re hoaxes don’t make it so. I expect better from a supposed academic.

            1. I mean the photo of Trump and Lavrov and Kislyak laughing in the Oval is just a click away if you’re not locked in your partisan box.
