It’s fucking fabulous. The Starship is in the big fuckin’ truck category of spaceships, and to have it reusable like that is really going to bring launch costs down for a hell of a lot of stuff.

To be fair the incredible advance was a few years ago when the first reusables showed up (Falcon, also a SpaceX rocket). This is just economies of scale.

The only reason you won’t hear me saying a word about Musk’s histrionics is stuff like that (and yeah, I’m aware that SpaceX is mostly Gwynne Shotwell, but it takes brains to choose someone like that to manage your company, and then stay out of her way)

Yes. It’s unreal that most of SpaceX’s business is highly sensitive defense contracts with the government for which you’d need security clearance (impossible to get if you’re not a citizen, even a green card wouldn’t work). And they’re suing them for not hiring asylum seekers lol.

Why are there any asylum seekers on the territory of the US? And how are they seekers if they have been admitted, given asylum and used to persecute others for imaginary thought crimes? What more are they seeking exactly?
