On Duolingo, whenever a grandpa is mentioned, it’s always in the context of “grandpa and his husband.” What I don’t get is, if these grandpas are so gay, how did they become grandpas?

On Duolingo, whenever a grandpa is mentioned, it’s always in the context of “grandpa and his husband.” What I don’t get is, if these grandpas are so gay, how did they become grandpas?

I know a gay grandpa and several gay fathers. The story is almost always that a gay man married a woman when he was very young in the hope that marriage would “cure” him. Of course it doesn’t work like that, but sometimes there are children before he is able to accept who he is and get out of the marriage.
But gay grandpas are a tiny percentage of all the grandpas out there. Duolingo is being stupid if they have more than one or two.

They want to acknowledge sexual diversity (gay) while making it palatable to people using the app (gay, but married).

Really, sorry, but both Obama and Turdo the second, and for that matter his supposed dad, were rather obvious switch hitters ;-D

Some years ago there was an internet speculation that his dad was Castro (based on strong resemblance of the latter in his younger years. AFAIK no one was able to find any evidence that the mother and Castro had met (much less done the wild thing) for that to be a real possbility.

Sorry, actually just google pierre trudeau and castro together, reddit shows at least one with margaret included. But that photo is apparently after Turdo the Second was about four years old.
