No, this isn’t my Christmas table. This is the traditional 12-course Christmas dinner of some lucky Ukrainian who still has his health and isn’t doomed to eating nothing but grass from now and until the end of days.

Merry Christmas y Feliz Navidad, madam. My mother is going to make pernil with rice, black beans and yucca with mojo sauce, then a flan for dessert. Under normal circumstances, I’d be in the kitchen cooking too but I can’t, so my younger brother is going to have to help out
