Guess Where

Guess where all this is happening:

1. Islamic critic @Salwan_Momika1 is shot to death in his apartment during his own TikTok livestream by 5 armed men who broke into the apartment.

2. The 32nd bomb attack of this month takes place.

3. An assassin shots the 60+ year old uncle of the country’s most famous gang leader “The Kurdish Fox” to death. He then fires shots at a nearby police patrol.  “The Kurdish Fox” had himself previously hired a hitman who assassinated the mother of the Fox’s main rival “The Strawberry.” That murder was followed by around 10 more in a gang war that had only recently calmed down. The police now believe that a string of retaliation shootings are highly likely to happen in the coming days.

In Sweden. This is all happening in Sweden over 2 days.

And here we were always told that Scandinavian countries were sleepy and civilized.

Father Slays New York Girl, 14, in TikTok ‘Honor Killing’

After being lured to Pakistan, Hira Anwar was fatally shot by her father and an uncle over online posts that her parents believed were immodest, the police said.

Fortunately we know the reason why. Colonialism!

Kavita Mehra, executive director of Sakhi for South Asian Survivors, a New York-based nonprofit organization, said that in the United States, gender-based violence happened at higher rates within South Asian communities. Nearly half of South Asians in the United States report experiencing such violence at least once, according to surveys.

“This is not because our community is inherently more violent,” Ms. Mehra said, “but rather because we are enmeshed in intergenerational trauma — cycles of pain, silence and patriarchal control, shaped by histories of colonialism, displacement and migration.”

  2. “Guess where”

If I hadn’t already known from the first story… I would have immediately guessed Sweden as would almost anyone who’s actually been following the story of MENA migration to Europe (a horrific failure everywhere but governments are still trying to make the failed experiment work….).
