For people who are wondering why Trump is punishing Canada with tariffs, I want to post this short video where the current Canadian Prime Minister is debating the future Prime Minister. It’s all in there, in their own words. The future Canadian leader is explaining “why now, why is Canada punished more than China,” all of it.
If the Poilievre guy is going to be in power soon, then why not wait to work with him on the fentanyl issue? Placing tariffs on the entire country seems extreme to me, especially if there is someone who agrees with you and you can work things with. Now it just seems all of Canada is behind Trudeau and against the US.

There’s no reason to be certain the change of power in Canada will happen before Trump’s first 100 days. Plus, there needs to be a reason for the parliament to vote to stop fentanyl. Right now the far left in the parliament is doing everything to legalize every hard drug in existence.

Hardly new. The Indo-Canadian gang problem goes back to the days of Bindy Johal and the Dosanjh brothers. Might be more accurate to describe them as Punjabi than Sikh though; it’s hardly as if most of these guys are religious.

Actually, no, it wouldn’t be accurate to call them punjabi. Punjabi is an umbrella term comprising anyone originating from the state of punjab: Hindu, muslim, whatever. Sikh is a separate identity, and it’s not just based on religion. Khalistanis call themselves the purest Sikhs of all.

This isn’t a Khalistani or a Sikh thing though. It is, in fact, a Punjabi thing. There happens to be a lot of overlap with Sikhs.

Bindy Johal: Sikh
Dosanjh brothers: Sikh
The two names in the tweets I posted: Sikh
I’m not even sure what this nitpicking is all about. The Canadian government is beholden to Khalistani/Sikh interests and these people are human trash that should’ve been deported a long time ago. Not really interested in splitting hairs about their exact ethnic composition.

Punjab never did. 99% of Indian immigration to Canada is human biomass. The absolute dregs of society. Ironically this happened under their “points system” policy where you’d get points for education, etc in order to qualify to immigrate there. Good job with all the due diligence, Canada!

I don’t have a strong opinion on Trump’s recent decision regarding international commerce, unless I fear it might be detrimental to poorer people on both sides of the borders. I also have isolationist tendencies, in the sense that I enjoy buying local goods, for environmental purposes mostly. But, do you seriously think that those policies will prevent drug circulation and production? Fentanyl is an open-eye nightmare in Canada and in the US, true, but drugs will always find ways to circulate. Also, the video seems edited. I don’t like that.
For the first time in months, in interviews, Poilièvre refused to say whether he would move a motion to make the Liberal government fall yesterday. Makes one wonder. One thing is to complain when you are in the opposition; another is to rule a country. He will win anyways.
Oh well, at least things are getting interesting.

Yes, of course, the idea punishing more severely Fentanyl money laundering is not bad. I But again, I genuinely wonder whether it will make a difference. Hopefully so.
