Trump did in two weeks what Biden couldn’t in 4 years. Illegal crossings are massively down, something in the order of 93% since Trump took over. Biden kept saying he needed Congress to do anything on immigration, Trump proved that so wrong it must be humiliating to be so wrong about something.
Fundamentally I think the progressive’s minds must be broken right now. Not only is Trump beating them badly, their leadership is in shambles. They have no response. They relied endlessly on guilt and shame to get their way, but that doesn’t work anymore.
Even though I don’t have love for Trump, he may be positioning the US to enter the new world order. The Europeans are still stuck in the past, and so are a lot of countries.

I know, Biden’s “escalation management” strategy was a disaster. I don’t see anyone saying otherwise.
I’m still not too hopeful for Ukraine. I don’t necessarily see Trump interested in devoting a lot of resources to a country in Russia’s sphere of influence. I guess we’ll see if my fears have merit.

I would love to see an accountant’s writeup of the savings in hotel and travel costs for these Panels… It’s probably peanuts compared to the national budget (but of course that is how we got into this budget hole, right? Ten million here, ten million there, who’s counting?), but I think normal tax-filing people would be interested in this massive unnecessary global-travel subsidy for a small city’s worth of government functionaries.

Not so sure about that, the excerpt posted isn’t that far from Curtis “We need a tsar!” Yarvin territory.
I’d say Trump is a very good example of a different principle: People who don’t want to solve a problem will claim it can’t be solved and surround it with a lot of protective incrustations of committees and interest groups to prevent anyone from trying.
People who really want to solve problems can/will find ways to.

TL:DR: Trump designated cartels, which have a long history of being CIA pets, as terrorists. He’s ordered the CIA to fight their own guys. 😀 and now (on a delay, after issuing same offer to other govt functionaries), stepping in and offering (apparently) everybody at the CIA a chance to quit now and collect 8mos pay or (threat left blank for everybody to let their guilty consciences fill in).
If this were a book, I’d be peeking at the last chapter to see how it ends, I wanna know so bad.

I’m looking at the records of the organizations and initiatives that have been sponging off the taxpayer, and it’s enough to make one’s hair stand on end. The luxurious lifestyles, the bonuses, and these are the most unproductive people in existence. The same people who have been telling us, “learn to code” and “just move.” The scope of the grift is extraordinary.

Nobody is poaching anybody from Illinois for obvious reasons. Although I’d be very willing to see these losers get taken away from here.
We are deep in creating “policies” on how to interact with ICE agents if they appear on campus. The policies are miles long and say absolutely nothing whatsoever.

Another thing we’ve learned from the last two weeks is that the republican party has been the designated controlled opposition for the last 50+ years. You can just do things, you know. But the republican party didn’t, even when it had power, and this is why Trump needed it destroy it. He might go away but I don’t think the republican base will ever go back to the traitorous Mitch McConnell wing of the party. Fucking snakes who sold out their base and their country. And for what?
