Soros-owned Opposition

It has become clear why Belarus has failed so badly in its efforts to remove the dictator Lukashenka:

In the photos, we see the leader of the Belarusian opposition Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya with the Soros family. I’ve long said that the Belarusian opposition is almost as weird as the Russian. Turns out they are both owned by the Soroses. No wonder these have been the most ineffective oppositions in the world.

  1. How much of MAGA is owned by Musk and the other oligarchs?

If there is one thing in common between Democrats and Republicans is they both love their oligarchs. It’s no wonder neither party is taking the problems affecting the middle and lower class seriously.

Clarissa, you used to talk so much about the incredible transfer or wealth from the middle-class to the oligarchs that happened during and before COVID. You were 100% spot on there. What are your thoughts on the the subject now?

    1. We will have to see what happens to the money that’s being chopped out of the budget.

Ideally, it simply disappears from the budget. We didn’t have that money to spend, and that is why inflation has gotten so bad: govt. just keeps spending money we don’t have, and adding a few zeroes to the bank balance to make the budget work. In order to benefit all Americans, we need to get the govt spending monster chopped down to fit inside the government’s revenue.

If the funding freed up by all these cuts simply gets reallocated to other things (particularly things that benefit the incoming class of oligarchs), then yes: meet the new boss, same as the old boss, oligarchs suck.

If the cuts are simply money dropped from the budget, then they’re doing the right thing and we will all benefit.

We have not yet had time to see which it’ll be.

But right now, Musk and his crew are doing *exactly* the thing we American voters elected Trump to do, on Trump’s orders. What is your primary concern here? The things they are cutting? Or the people who are doing the cutting?

Personally, I do not care who is holding the axe, as long as they are striking the root.

    2. Seeing how ferociously the MAGAs turned on Musk over immigration, I’d say none at all.

The neoliberalization is still happening, but I’m hoping that Trump’s measures will slow it down somewhat. We’ll see, it’s only been a couple of weeks.

My main concern is Musk was stupid enough to air this out in public. But he’ll learn and next time it will be done behind doors. For instance, we never hear from Peter Thiel; he’s got enormous power and money which he’s exercising behind closed doors away from the public eye.

In general, I just deeply distrust this billionaire elite class. They have been the primary engineers behind globalization, neoliberalization, etc. to their massive benefit and the detriment of everyone else.

Agreed. We’ll have to wait and see how things progress.

        1. I agree, of course, Musk will now be circumspect about it but he’s still a globalist. A person of his wealth simply can’t be anything else. So yes, we need to be vigilant and clear-eyed.
