Yarvin on Populism

This is Yarvin writing about the revolution he himself brought into existence:

The best populist ideas seldom prevail—nor do the best populist candidates. Populism does not work. Its accuracy
rate is not zero, but nor is it quite at nuclear-safety levels. And it is not strong enough. It can win symbolic victories, but not take and hold power. It quickly tires out, gets hungry, goes home and grills. Its main effect is just to scare progressivism
and keep it in fighting shape, while arguably sometimes slowing it down. Or at least, damming it up to burst forth later.

Another fascinating thought in the book is how, without any authoritarian regime or dictatorship, we have an extraordinary uniformity of opinion across all Western and Western wannabe societies. Moreover, when we collectively change our minds, we do it extremely fast and in absolute unison. Overnight, we all turn the page and tacitly agree that the page on which we all were not an hour ago was shameful and terrible.

One example (mine, not Yarvin’s) is gay marriage. One day, Obama couldn’t get elected without condemning the idea. Then, in a dramatic reversal, he couldn’t get elected without passionately supporting it.

Yarvin asks, who presses the button that triggers this global turning of the page? Are we certain they know what they were doing? Are we completely confident that they should have that power?

  1. Not really all that surprising. People tend to laugh at the idea of brainwashing and propaganda. They say something to the effect of it will never effect me. The sad truth of the matter is. It is extremely efficient. Let me rephrase that. Brainwashing and Propaganda are EXTREMELY EFFICIENT.

Such evils have people actually convinced that knives and guns kill people. It has convinced huge numbers of people to actually not have children because and I quote, “There are too many people in the world.”

It has also convinced people in America that America was the only nation in the world to own slaves. Slaves that we apparently went to Africa and captured ourselves instead of you know buying from the African’s who sold other Africans of other tribes they captured in raids and in wars.

It has convinced Europeans in mass that throwing open the borders and saying “refugees welcome” was the thing to do.

It has convinced millions upon millions of useful idiots to send unending streams of money to “Save the Planet.” From what you ask? Oh Global Warming, Global Cooling, the melting of the ice caps, the rising of the Sea Levels, the destruction of the Ozone Layer, the Carbon emissions, the destruction of the rain forests, etc, etc, etc.

Ignoring the fact that the melting glaciers did not. (They removed the sign), the Warming turned to Cooling which turned back to Warming. The sea levels never actually rose, and oh we have to kill the cows now because they fart causing C02 levels to rise. Never mind that when C02 levels rise plant life becomes more abundant seeing as they require it. You know basic high school level organic science.

It has convinced people that God is not real, and that Satan is a laughable funny red man who is actually a good person. It has also convinced billions that there are multiple ways to Heaven.

It has convinced people that things like the Income Tax have always existed and that the money is used for the roads. You know those roads and bridges which are never actually repaired.

It has been used to convince people that DIE is a good thing, that diversity is our strength, even as it chokes the various nations draining us of our unity and strength.

It has been used again and again and again for years and decades in order to convince people that the horrible things done to us are for our own good.

And the worst part is. It works. It works all too well.

So no it doesn’t surprise me that the West can essentially turn the page at a moments notice. Give the propaganda and brainwashing a moment to start issuing new directives and the herd obeys.

As for the last bit “Yarvin asks, who presses the button that triggers this global turning of the page? Are we certain they know what they were doing? Are we completely confident that they should have that power?”

There is an answer. Satan and his minions. He is not in Hell, he is free and roaming the earth even as I write this. Until Jesus returns and sets foot on the Mt. of Olives, Satan has ownership of this world, he is allowed to do as he pleases. The only reason things are not worse is the Holy Spirit through the Church (Not the Catholic Church, but the body of Christ, those who have heard and accepted his payment of our sins.) That Holy Spirit restrains the devil till we the church are taken out of the way.

At some point we who are saved will be removed. At that point or shortly after there will be no one left that is restraining the devil and the Earth will suffer for it. I implore you, if you are not saved, come to Jesus while there is still time. We each of us are sentenced to hell as all of us have sinned which bars us from Heaven. Jesus paid the price. He shed his blood on that cross at Calvary as payment for your sins. He paid the sin debt, but you have to accept his gift. He will not force you, but once you pass it is too late. So choose Jesus today and live because you will face eternity. Choose Jesus and Life so you don’t face eternity away from God.
