God Help Canada

Was I right or was I completely right when I said yesterday that the utterly politically and ideologically bankrupt Liberals in Canada are bamboozling the gullible population with invented stories about “Trump invasion”? I posted my observations before this tweet appeared.

The only way Freeland could disrespect voters more is if she made this fictional girl 4 months instead of four years old. And yet there are people who read this tweet and didn’t barf. There might actually be more than five of them, which is very sad.

  1. Maybe. Donald Trump is also perhaps the best thing to have happened to Canada’s liberals in a while; he’s basically single handily keeping them in the race and potentially winning it for them. What an nice guy!

    1. Clearly. The Liberal Party has absolutely nothing to offer, so it offers an imaginary invasion that the party is fictionally repelling. Let’s see if Canadians buy this load of horse shit.

  2. Good Lord, that fictional child sounds like my younger brother after watching the news, he gets scared and thinks the world is going to end. But he has autism and takes everything literally, these are presumably neurotypical adults who should know better.

Invading Canada would be a huge disaster, most Americans are indifferent to Canada and wouldn’t approve since they see Canada as our little cousin. The Liberals in Canada sound unhinged, I find that more conservative Canadians aren’t as anti-American as the liberals and don’t have this weird complex about the US

    1. After 10 years of memes about “my 3-month-old baby gripping my hand and saying, ‘Daddy, I’m am quite concerned about the detrimental effects that Donald Trump has on the securities market in view of the increasing vagaries of the S&P.” Ten years of jokes about this kind of pronouncements. Ten years when every comedian joked and tired or joking about it. After all that, she goes and makes the same kind of statement and I can’t believe anybody can exist so outside the actual reality.

  3. “this fictional girl”

I’ve been on the internet so long that I remember when political hacks made up taxi drivers to mouth their opinions (or to mouth ridiculous strawman arguments that the hack could demolish).

I imagine the next stage is animals….

“My Cocker Spaniel was shaking with indignation at what (some politician) said last night!”

    1. I mean, doesn’t she know? Doesn’t she know anybody who could tell her? Like in, “grandma, please take that down because everybody at school is laughing”?

I’m starting to lose faith in the power of genes with this woman.

    1. I’m really hoping Liberals don’t get reelected because that would just be the limit. Even congenitally peaceful and calm Canadians should be fed up by this point.

  4. Sorry for the unhelpful comment, but why is everyone so confident that this never happened? I know that stories can be invented, but to me, it sounds exactly how a bright four-year-old might interpret the panic about Trump’s proposal to annex Canada, especially if their parents are thinking along the same lines.

    1. I have a very bright 9-year-old who reads at the high-school level and has a college-level vocabulary but I can’t begin to imagine the situation where she’d accost a stranger in a crowd, won’t get shy, distracted or want to talk about her favorite dollie called Skyler, and would be able to remember that Trump is a president of a different country. At four? I just honestly can’t imagine, even with days of intense coaching.

But that’s not even the point. True or not, the story shouldn’t be brought up in public because there have been so many of these stories and so much mockery of them that the story is dead on arrival. It’s like telling your friends today that you rested positive for COVID and expecting anything beyond boredom.

  5. “…the gravest threat we have faced since the Second World War.”

Really? Greater than the imposition of The War Act by Turdo the First; worse than the Quebec Referendum that damned nearly led to secession; how about Turdo the Second’s illegal imposition of The Emergency Act and your own stupidly grinning locking up of bank accounts of innocent supporters of the Truckers Convoy.

Now I don’t expect a four year old child to know that history, but you bloody well should. And you should also know that Danielle Smith has publicly warned you Liberals that any additional “carbon” political maneuvers against Alberta may well result in a referendum on secession. And seeing as the Supreme Court accepted that given clear wording a referendum secession is possible, that precedent makes it legal, and that Chrystia, you little shit for brains, is the gravest threat since the Seccond World War,

      1. Yes, a concern, but secession by Alberta would basically end equalization transfers; neither the federal government, nor any provincial government, could continue to fund any subsidization of any immigration scams.
