The closing speaker at the large meeting we had today was a white woman who said that her biggest dream is that in 20 years there would be significantly fewer white people on campus. All of the white people sitting next and in front of me clapped.
Please, Lord oh God, grant me the patience and enough feelings of charity.
I shall be uncharitable: why doesn’t she just go and off herself? In this way she’ll help that longed-for [by her] moment come closer.
Do these people listen to themselves when they speak or are they lobotomised?

I asked a colleague, who is the father of 3 white boys, why he clapped. He said, “she didn’t mean it that way. She meant she wants more diversity.”
I don’t buy it because we are professors in the Humanities. One thing we know how to do is speak. We don’t make such mistakes.
Besides, nobody in their right mind would publicly say, “my dream is to see fewer blacks on campus.” Nobody misspeaks in that direction.
Why can’t we accept that both statements are equally Hitlerian in nature?

Could she have meant fewer white people like her?

Seems prophetic, since admin seems to be trying to close the campus.
If it’s closed there will be fewer people.

Good point. 😁😁 The administrators can then spend all of their time giving each other awards for effectiveness.

“The college is racist! Racism must die! The only way to end racism is to close the college!”

That’s an inevitable conclusion to the idea that racism is in the lifeblood of the whole country.
