The Female Hoax

Yesterday’s hoax about Macron’s Kleenex was also created by a woman.

Once you see it, you can’t unsee it. These things are always created by women of a certain type. Menopausal, unattractive, gasping, and overheated. This is as entertaining as watching how many men traumatized by menopausal mommies jump up and down, trying to please the symbolic mommy by spreading the crazy story.

    1. All true except that the one with the heavy breathing should be female.

Even the concerns in these hoaxes are those of middle-aged moms. “He’s hiding drugs! I need to go through the boy’s pockets because he’s fallen in with a bad crowd.”

  1. I think it’s one of those things where it doesn’t even matter if it’s true or not, because the significance lies the traction it’s getting. There was simultaneously a hoax about Arab bigwigs gifting trump a fancy jet. Is it true? Given the people pushing it I’d guess not. And… it’s being ridiculed in most of my newsfeed, when it turns up at all. Not important except as a bellwether for how hard it is for the MSM to be taken seriously these days.

The kleenex thing though: that’s getting *tremendous* traction because whether real or not it illustrates something very much on the mind of the populace these days: the rich and powerful live by rules totally different from those imposed on the rest of us. It’s not trivial that this is such a big part of what’s out in the ether these days.

    1. Honestly, though, ceaseless drugging has been so normalized that the outrage rings hollow.

I will never believe that people who are so incapable of self-control with news would be able to resist the culture of pill-popping.
