Dave Cole Needs Help

David Cole has been fired from Taki. Which means there’s no reason to read Taki any more because he was the main attraction.

In any case, Dave is raising money on GiveSendGo, and if he reaches his goal, he’ll republish his banned book Republican Party Animal and write a new book. And he’ll publish his 16 unused columns from Substack. He’s already 60+% done. I don’t know of anybody more uniformly cancelled by the left and the right than Dave. He manages to be equally offensive to everybody. If Dave finally gets to put out an actual book on paper that you can actually buy and read, that will mean real freedom. Let’s help Dave.

Here’s the link to his fundraising campaign.

  1. This is terrible news (David Cole’s sacking), but it is inspiring that you made your readers aware of his plight so that they can contribute to his gofundme.

Taki’s Magazine is where I first came across the wonderful Steve Sailer, but I agree with you, without Cole, not much point in reading it anymore.

    1. I like Steve Sailer and I’m very happy he finally gets published. Now we need to see Cole start putting out books, and it will be real freedom.

    2. His stuff was nearly unreadable. Ponderous, meandering and incoherent. Bloated with self-importance. Taki did good.

        1. Not really. He was in my feed for some reason, maybe because I follow Steve Sailer. I bashed him because it was convenient to do so and he needs bashing. He’s a liar and a coward.

          1. Coward, sure. Liar, I don’t know. I keep reading him, he’s got an undemanding pen, but too many easy vulgarisms and needless racist blows, below the belt at that. Tedious fascination with LA.

      1. The latter, Clarissa. Billionaires tend to stick together (i.e. Taki, Musk). I was actually willing to be compliant at first, out of loyalty to Taki. But the demands increased, from a “never mention Musk” policy to a “never mention X in a negative light” policy, which I didn’t even understand because “X” is just other people’s words. So, I can’t mention ANYONE who posts something wacky on X? And then they started editing my pieces without my consent, and that’s when I thought, “after ten years of loyal service I’m a bit more loyal to them than they are to me.” Technically, I quit – but only after it was established that I’d no longer have editorial control over my own work. So to that extent, I DO feel forced out. Because I WAS initially willing to work with them.

        1. Thank you for sharing, Dave. It’s truly shocking that they would edit your writing. When that starts happening, there’s on option but to leave. But I’m glad you have a prospective publisher. My guilty pleasure of weeping with laughter into my pillow in the middle of the night over your Taki columns is ready to come out into the open.

        2. Hey David, I’m still waiting for you to reply to that Treblinka engineering energy balance I gave you. You promised to read it verbatim on your YouTube channel before you got booted off but you never even mentioned it. Did I waste my time. It’s not going away. Engineers are a dime a dozen and I’m not even a very good one. Most engineers can reproduce that analysis. I’m thinking you got scared in your old age.

  2. I’m reading your blog because Dave recommended it on his Substack. Good read, Clarissa. Glad Ol’ Dave made it to $10K, so we’ll see a book soon.

  3. Cole had become very tedious to read. Also the sense of self importance was quite laughable. Does he really think we believe him when he says he dated a supermodel? This whiny weasley nebbish? They’re called prostitutes and it’s not dating.

    1. I’ve seen so many beautiful people utterly unable to scare up a date for years and very un-beatiful ones beating crowds of suitors away with a stick because there were so many. It’s really not straightforward.

      1. It’s actually very straightforward, Cole couldn’t get laid in a monkey house with a bag full of bananas. I’ve known plenty of guys like that in my life it’s no mystery, they lie. If someone like Cole is beating away beautiful women it’s because they have money or power, probably both. It’s never because of their charm, their sense of humor or their dazzling personality. That’s what they mean by “Doctors Wives,” no one ever talks about garbage mens wives.

  4. I subscribed for a bit to see what he was about. Not my cup of tea– vulgarity ratio a bit too high. I’m trying to stop swearing, so what I read every day matters. Unsubbed. His account sends an insulting email when you unsub.

  5. I am not persuaded by the “billionaires stick together” explanation for Cole’s expulsion from Taki’s. I’m sure Taki hates plenty of billionaires. But I’ll miss Cole, even though he seemed to have run out of topics and kept hammering on about his favorites. Still, no one else I ever read discussed black vs. Mexican labor issues in Los Angeles with so charming candor.
