I’m With the Stoner

I’m on the side of the stoner dude. He won’t let himself be guilt-tripped by the standard slogans, which means he’s already mostly on our side:

  1. “I’m with the Stoner.”

Nah, they’re self-righteous asses blocking traffic. Run them down if they won’t get out of the way!

  2. I agree. It’s stupid to adopt the enemy’s frame, as conservatives are fond of doing because they’re so used to be on the defensive. “Oh my god, they offended a BLACK WOMAN, they’re the real racists!” will never ever work for them because:

    a) This just reinforces the idea that racism is the biggest evil in the world. You’re just making your enemies stronger.

    b) The power to decide what is and what is not “racist” does not lie with you. It belongs to your enemies. No amount of impotent screeching about racism will ever be entertained by them. It just makes you look weak, appealing to an imaginary authority who will objectively rule in your favor. lol spoiler alert, no such authority exists.

This entire framing of things being racist/sexist/transphobic was designed to crush you, but will you learn? If you’re a boomercon, no, never.

    1. A black woman is going to work. Stop the presses! This is an event worthy of a ticker-tape parade. That’s the attitude the journalist is channeling.

I’m in academia, so I break out in hives whenever I hear “listen to black women!” It’s like a magical incantation in the cult of obnoxiously liberal.

That the guy is mocking it is a good sign. We should all simply start laughing at it.

  3. “Oh noes. You have to get to WORK?” HaHaHaHA

Stupid peons, thinking their job matters. Who cares if you’re late to your nursing shift? We’re having a protest!

  4. They’re stopping a woman from going to work. You would have to been on her side, had she not said the word “black”.

I’m not saying you’re racist. But there’s something deeply wrong about you not giving a shit about her difficulties because of the language she used.

    1. Moral high ground isn’t awarded to anybody for life. You can have it and then lose it. If in an identical situation, I brought up as an argument for being let through the fact that I’m white, you’d have no problem agreeing that such behavior is not worthy of respect and consideration.

Flip the races in the situation and consider how you feel about it. “You are detaining a WHITE MAN from getting to work??” Are you on the side of the white man who evokes his race as a reason to pass through? No?

I’m not saying you are a racist but you do sound like one.

      1. Her bringing up her race/ethnicity would have made more sense if she were Hispanic. But generally, the protesters are not trying to protect white people. They’re protecting people from shithole countries, who tend not to be white.

        1. On the subject of shit hole countries, have you heard of Russia?

It doesn’t get more shitholley than that because 20% of the population use an actual hole in the ground to shit.
