And for some light, humorous relief:
I don’t know what’s funnier, that this guidance exists or that there are people who are sincerely upset the guidance will go away.
My alcohol drinking days are long behind me but neither back then nor now do I seek the government’s guidance when deciding whether to drink. I assume there’s not a single person who would seek such a guidance.
This is hilarious, when do drinkers take drinking advice from the government? I say this as I’m having my first vodka seltzer of the day, homemade and not from a can. Of course excessive drinking is bad, but the government telling people how much to consume is rich since they can’t do much of anything right, especially since summer’s around the corner and people are going to be drinking loads of beer during the 4th of July and at cookouts. People will just laugh and ignore it, the government has never liked anyone drinking and the last time they tried to stop people from drinking, we ended up with Prohibition and the Mafia.

It’s fine. I don’t drink at all, so between us we average a healthy average alcohol consumption 😉

Hah, but next week we’re visiting my brother who lives in Virginia and he’s a bourbon drinker. Whoever mandated these guidelines is going to have a fit when they see how much we’re going to drink, but we’re on vacation. When work resumes, we’ll go back to our one a day drinks but all bets are off on vacation

The headline is ambiguous, don’t you think? I initially thought that dropping guidance to limit alcohol meant they’re lifting that limit lol.
