Acceptable Condition

I love Mexican literature, and I adore Mexican slang, and I deeply appreciate Mexican soaps.

After this disclaimer, I absolutely insist that the only edible version of Mexican food is made by very white people with no relationship to Mexico.

The only thing worse than Mexican food is Central American food. I have a deep suspicion that people who flee the region are escaping the food.

South American food, on the other hand, is almost always amazing.

As for the woman in the video, is she herself Chinese or did the plastic surgeon perform the equivalent of Mexican food on her?

  1. Of all the criticisms of deportation, the one about “but who will make the tacos?” is the stupidest. For a group that is allergic to any talk about heritability, they suddenly turn into certified Human Biodiversity Experts when it comes to gastronomy. So mexicans have the taco gene, chinese have the kung pao chicken gene, indians have the tikka masala gene, and so on.

      Agreed. In the UK 15 or so years ago there was a media kerfuffle because some guy who ran a bunch of Bangladeshi restaurants was insisting that he could not hire anyone already in the UK as a cook because only people who were born and grew up in Bangladesh really understood how to cook the food.

      People pointed out that there is this thing called ‘cooking school’ and/or many food places train staff to prepare their menu and others asked why he can’t keep staff to such an extent that he has to run through hundreds of cooks a year.

      I forget how it ended but since it was the UK under a Labour government I’m sure he got all the visas approved he wanted.

      It’s my understanding that most kitchen staff in pretty much any kind of US eating establishment is Mexican (or have they moved on and been replaced by cheaper labor?) There was a US article about how indispensable ‘undocumented’ workers from Mexico were for pretty much any restaurant a few years ago (including Vietnamese and Italian).

      1. Absolutely. The 3 Japanese restaurants in the neighborhood aren’t staffed with Japanese people, that’s for sure. All of these arguments that only Mexicans and immigration-supporting Americans should be allowed to set foot into a taco joint are moronic.

    2. They simply plan to hound out of business anybody who “culturally appropriates” recipes to which they are not genetically bound. People will probably have to give DNA when applying for business permits.

  2. the argument this woman is making is so stupid. Ban half of the buying power of country from going to Mexican and Chinese restaurants. Then bankrupt all the Mexican and Chinese restauranteurs to PWN MAGA.
