Sins of Grandparents

Granddaughter? Seriously? We are now going to visit the sins of grandparents on their grandchildren?

I have no idea whether Metreweli is good or bad but whatever she is has zero relationship with what her grandfather did in WWII. My grandfather was in the Communist Party, so what? What is it supposed to mean about me?

What does Blumenthal even mean by “complete coincidence”? What is supposed to be coinciding here? It’s “people in maroon T-shirts” crap on steroids. What Metreweli is saying isn’t in any way “pro-Nazi” it even remotely related to Nazism, Hitler or “pro-Soviet partisans.” She’s not talking about WW2.

We should all just stop re-fighting WW2 already and concentrate on what is happening now.

  1. “What does Blumenthal even mean by “complete coincidence””

That it’s not a coinidence at all and Western Europe is overrun with nazis that russia needs to take care of (skipping a few steps in the logic chain).

  2. OT: My twitter always opens to ‘For you’ now so i’m bombarded with pro-russian shills.

I guess Musk was on Ukraine’s side briefly at the beginning but he hasn’t been for a long time and it’s better to admit he’s now a russian asset.

I can’t find certain anti-russia/pro-Ukraine videos that used to be easy as well…. all russia all the time seems to be the current algorithm…

    1. The X algorithm is definitely all over the place to the point that I start reading a tweet and thinking it must be sarcastic because what it says is so insane. But then I see that no, it’s completely serious.

  3. I often get conflicting messages from people here. Sometimes it’s “I will not trust anyone about anything once I know they are wrong about something.” Other times it’s more like “nuance is a sign of higher intelligence. One can be wrong about some things and still be right about others.”

    1. If I hear something intelligent or worthwhile from this Blumenthal (whom I might be confusing with the other Blumenthal), I will most certainly remark upon it.
