There was nothing like this in Ukraine when I was growing up because in the USSR we weren’t allowed to know about Christmas, so I’m extremely glad that these ancestral Christmas traditions have been recovered and that so many young people participate:

Once Christmas traditions are taken away, it’s extremely hard to recover it. I still care more about New Year’s than Christmas. It’s very important to preserve these rituals and involve young people in them.
