I can experience great tolerance for all kinds of people. But these cheerful morons drive me up a wall:
I hated then when I was on the left and that feeling remains unchanged now that I’m on the right.
No matter how many deaths of despair the destruction of work brings, there’s always some bright-eyed bimbo prattling excitedly about “liberating our true potential” by way of being excised from productive life.
It’s so wild these people exist. It’s like they haven’t heard of poor people before and can’t grasp that without work, no one would give them money, without money they can’t live. It’s not like poor people in the rest of the world get UBI, they just die of starvation and diseases in droves. Why wouldn’t the same thing happen to them?

We totally have UBI. In SA, there are four welfare beneficiaries for every taxpayer.

They’re speculating… with a little detour around that part.

That sounds like a joke, if people have no jobs and infinite time, they’ll just play video games or drink or smoke weed all day. My younger brother with autism is a perfect example, he’s a smart guy and talented artist but completely unemployable because of his behaviors and anger issues and social awkwardness.
He has unlimited time and he spends it playing video games, streaming Twitch and has epic meltdowns if he loses video games. At least he doesn’t abuse substances, but because of his autism and co-morbidities he cannot work and spends his endless free time playing video games and watching Twitch streams. At least he has a legitimate medical issue, able-bodied people that lazy are much worse

Anybody who has ever met other human beings knows that this is true. Or at least they should.
