    1. Actually, it’s not Itamar Ben Gvir speaking. Listening to Hebrew speech and understanding the context, I think he means it’s OK if Mohammed becomes the most popular name in Europe, but “not here, not here, that’s not what we want.” Meaning, not in Israel.

      If I am mistaken in my interpretation, it’s not a mainstream position. No Israeli Jew I’ve spoken with in RL wants to ‘flood Europe with Arabs.’ They bemoan the transformation of Europe into a place hostile to its Jews and to Israel. Why would we want to do that at all?

      Ironically, Mohammed has been the most popular name in Israel in 2025, in 2024, and I bet before too.

      Another crucial point is that being ‘flooded with Arabs’ or with Africans or with … is a choice European politicians have made long ago and continue making for their own reasons. Europe is hardly a victim here.

      Btw, I despise Itamar Ben Gvir, yet understand where his support comes from. After 7.10 and endless other lesser evils, people radicalize from both sides.

      Next I publish a video of real Iranian officials chanting ‘death to America, death to Israel’ to explain why the war is justified. 🙂

        How Israel Created the European Refugee Crisis

        The US/Israeli orchestrated fall of Qaddafi in 2011 opened up a major route for refugees from the Middle-East and Africa to flow into Europe. According to the Washington Post 400,000 migrants from the Middle-East and Africa flowed into Italy from Libya between 2014 and 2017 due to the overthrow of Qaddafi.

        Israel and Jewish-run NGOs in the West are the main facilitators of the movement and resettlement of Syrian, Iranian, Iraqi and Afghani refugees in Europe. All four countries have been destabilized through war and sanctions by Israel and the US. IsraAID, the Israeli refugee agency, has operated the refugee centers on the Greek Island of Lesbos since 2015.

        In 2018 Merkel presented IsraAID with an award for their work on integrating Arabic speakers into Germany. On their website, IsraAID boasts of the extensive programs they have set up in Germany to facilitate the integration of refugees, while leaving out any mention of the Jewish state’s responsibility for the crisis in the first place.

        Any nervousness expressed by Jews over the influx of foreigners into Europe has revolved solely around the potential negative impact on European Jews. The negative impact on native Europeans is only considered through the danger, from the Jewish perspective, of galvanizing nationalist opposition.

        In a paper for the liberal Brookings Institution in 2015 Daniel Byman, professor of Jewish Civilization at Georgetown University in Washington DC, said that the solution to this problem was long term integration of the refugee populations in Europe.

They have a different vision of the world than you do about what’s good for the west, what’s good for jews, how a nation state should be, etc.

    1. Not supporting any of it but Europe could just say no. Instead, Merz is berating Germans for not working enough to provide welfare to all the refugees. And he’s the reasonable one in comparison with Starmer and Sánchez.

      1. Merz, bud, no one’s asking you. This is the USA/Israel show, and if it results in another 5 million migrants headed to Europe, you’re gonna have to swallow it. That’s what Europe’s purpose is now: to take the brunt of the damage resulting from US actions abroad.

    1. Actually, it was extremely good. The professor narrated the facts without giving anybody the slightest hint of what he thinks about the issue. No propagandizing, no bias. I couldn’t have done it better myself. A Sri Lankan professor.

      This kind of self-control is… unusual for PoliSci.
