People should quit the vulgar habit of mocking their family members by posting videos of them for clicks. It’s low, distasteful and shows up the whole family as a collection of smug, clueless losers.
Also, the idea that adult children should pay rent for remaining in the family home is equally vulgar. Strong, happy families are our greatest civilizational advance. That’s why there are so many efforts to dilute our family bonds and some people buy into this brainwashing.

My first thought was that there’s probably a good reason for avoiding her parents’ company since they seem pretty unpleasant to be around.
The second thought was that in twenty years the guy will be muttering and complaining that his daughter never calls….

If “people” haven’t realized by the time their kids are this old, that they should protect their kids’ privacy… it’s not gonna happen now.
Now sit for a minute, and ask: when a teenage girl posts herself in a top where her lacy red bra is playing peek-a-boo with the camera, we all know what she’s doing.
When HER PARENT posts that video of her, they’re pimping her out.

My father would allow himself to be tortured to death before posting his daughters in this manner. He’d think he failed as a man if our images were posted like this. And he wouldn’t be wrong.

The main problem isn’t parents asking for rent.
She’ll be much better off moving out, living alone or with people who respect her privacy and don’t whore her out to internet creeps.

There’s no such thing as an adult child. I came from a family of 10 kids and we all helped out when we started working in high school. If we wanted a car we worked for it. Gas we worked for it, clothes…well you get the picture. I don’t brag about this because when I was growing up in the 60s and 70s this was quite normal. My 6 children have been raised the same way. To deny a child this struggle is to deprive them of some of the greatest lessons life can give you. To provide everything for a teen or young adult, to deny them nothing to make no demands is how you create a Nick Reiner.

My two cent. This isn’t the 60s and 70s. Where as before in the 60s and 70s, you could afford quite a bit on starter jobs for teens. This is the 2020s, where starter jobs for teens are mostly taken by illegals and boomers. Where the value of a dollar has been degraded to the point where three bags of groceries that cost $30 dollars 10 years ago now costs almost $100.
It is the 2020s, where the price of a new car assuming anyone is stupid enough to buy one is close to $100K. Where rent is $1200 to $1500 a month in the cheaper parts of the country.
When you grew up, the situation was different, just like it was between you and how your grandparents grew up. In their day, kids would work as well, except it wasn’t starter jobs, it was actual jobs, many worked in factories, and a lot of unfortunates in the various mines.
Different situations for different generations and different times.
Right now what those parents have done is almost certainly guaranteed that their daughter as soon as she can will cut off all contact with them. They will quite likely never get to meet their grandchildren assuming she ever has any.
Even worse, by their actions, its quite possible she will wind up as a leftist, hating the nuclear family, and advocating for the systematic destruction of them.
No those two so called parents were and are morons, and quite frankly someone in their family should have slapped them upside the head and pulled the daughter away from their lunacy. (Note : I said a family member, not a government drone, they would be even worse than her parents.)
LOL, I liked all three posts because I was raised in the 50’s and 60’s, where both family and kin mattered, kids did learn to work to at least pay things for them selves and help contribute to the family, and kin could expect both food and a bed. And some of the current social anger/difficulties is indeed because of the debasement of the currencies of the West — the dollar is now worth a dime and rapidly becoming a nickel.
