People ultimately don’t give a shit about any of these issues as it doesn’t affect them. Being in academia you’re living in a different world than everyone else.
What people care about is gas prices going up from the 2 dollar to the 3 dollar range in an inflationary period. People care about stuff that hits their wallet directly. People were already struggling, were promised no more middle east foreign wars, now we have dead Americans coming back home in caskets.
Democrats are now projected to take the Senate, by the way. Elect a clown get a fucking circus.

As a mere Canuck, the choice was binary, a mindless cackling bimbo or Trump. Do you really believe that the the USA would survive another four years of of open borders and DEI culture warfare? When the F’ing choice of being hung or fighting the mad dog, you choose the latter.

That’s exactly what I’m saying. People are acting like we had some great statesman with spotless character and profound vision running against Trump. But instead we had Kamala. Do people suffer from short-term amnesia? Kamala was our alternative. We would have been me-tooted and BLMed into infinity.
