People are mocking this old headline without understanding that it was absolutely correct:
Zelensky won 74% of the vote in 2019 because he was extremely pro-Russian. He’s not ethnically Ukrainian and not a Ukrainian nationalist. He was a Russian lackey who made his money by mocking Ukrainians for the entertainment of Russian audiences. This is why he was elected. Voters wanted him to make nice with Russia. And he did. He all but crawled on his stomach to please Putin. Which is why I hated him back then.
But it didn’t work. Russia’s war is 100% internally motivated. You can’t do anything from the outside to stop it. That there are literally zero people in the US capable of explaining this to the public is very disturbing. Imagine how many other issues there are where we are being misled by morons.
Most people’s brains can’t tolerate complexity and they seek jingles and stock phrases to believe the pressure of complexity against their untrained, weak neural connection.

Either both Netanyahu and Trump are clinical morons, or the purpose of this war is not to vanquish Iran. Because they studiously ignore every opportunity to vanquish Iran and instead ensure that the war is protracted and very painful to the US.
Neither possibility should be discounted.

This is what I have heard and I think is likely true.
Netanyahu has two goals in the war, and one for after. First is the Greater Israel project. This one I do believe because at the same time this lunacy is going on Israel is very quietly invading Lebanon. Supposedly just a small portion of it (30%), but there was no real reason given than “terrorist” which considering the area being taken was apparent Christian from what I was informed seems somewhat unlikely.
There is also the occupation of Gaza. Now I don’t believe they are trying to genocide the Palestinians, but displace. Oh yea. There is way to much evidence to prove that is taking place. They are also almost certainly not being gentle about it either. I have heard there has been at least 40K civilians killed and I believe it.
Add that to the fact that the Israeli soldiers have a patch on their armbands showing Greater Israel the same way Americans have a US flag. Well as they say a picture is worth a thousand words, even if no one has come out right to say the words Greater Israel Project.
The second one that was explained was to place Israel in charge of the Region. To do this they would need to not only eliminate their strongest opposition (Iran), but also remove the US’s influence and bases from the region.
That at this point is almost certainly going to happen if Iran loses. With the collateral damage and the general failure of the American bases to prevent damage to the various Gulf State Nations, once the war ends they will almost certainly request America leave their countries. Once they do its likely Israel will follow suite.
The last objective and while the other two I do agree were the original goals, this one is potentially a goal. That is building a cannal through Gaza. It would effectively break the Egyptian control of the Trade-ways in the Area and would make Israel rich beyond anything they have now.
On the other side is Trump. I suspect judging by what has been said from him and those in the white-house that he has been caught off guard several times now. Going back to the start, several white-house officials said that Israel were the ones behind the assassination, and Trump basically had to join up because as he stated. “We had to attack because Israel was going to attack, and then Iran would have attacked us.”
Furthermore. Note the bit last week where he said he was negotiating with someone in Iran. He refused to say who. Which as was pointed out yesterday in one of the podcast I was listening to, Israel had apparently been directly targeting anyone Trump was attempting to negotiate with.
So I think Trump was caught off guard at the start, and I think Israel is taking rogue actions with Trump willingly or unwillingly covering for them. But I also think the people around him like Hegseth and Lindsey Graham are actively trying to make the war worse, and at least Lindsey Graham is actively supporting Israel over America. Heck he even outright said he was.
Oh and I’m fairly sure Netanyahu is dead. There were 6 AI videos released to try to prove he was still alive, and well he is way too prideful to hide in cover. No he walked into the white house like he owned the place again and again. If he wasn’t dead he would be in the white-house taunting the Iranians while lording it over us. So its quite likely he was picked off at some point.

Netanyahu is alive and not hiding anywhere. He is where he should be – in Israel, not in any white-house.
As for Lebanon, I’ve recently posted about Hezbollah and the real danger coming from Lebanon. Israel is not going to build any settlements there. We react to threats coming from that place.

A possibility, differing in one form or another, in all the Abrahamic religions.
