This is extraordinary:
Megan Rapinoe claims banning transgender males from women’s sports is an “attack on women.”
“It’s an attack on women in society.”
The only reason why Rapinoe has an athletic career is that men’s and women’s team exist and don’t play against each other. She would not have a job if the boundaries between men’s and women’s sports weren’t strict and impermeable. But then she says these things, and I think she’s completely sincere. The human capacity to hide from reality is limitless.
Forget Rapinoe. This is a widespread phenomenon among academics whose 2-days-a-week full-time jobs are only possible for as long as nations exist. Yet they do everything to argue themselves out of existence. I’ve never been able to understand this. I’ve asked this question many times. But nobody says anything. They make faces at me but there’s never a reply.
