My Claim to Eternal Fame

My very first paid translation is still being sold:

I actually translated it in 1990, so this was a subsequent re-release.

Back in 1990-1995, N practiced martial arts, so he might have read the book back then.

It was meant to be, people.

A Needed Category

The US doesn’t have a category of economic migrant in its immigration system. And that’s precisely why we have more economic migrants than anybody else in the world. As Dr Phil says, “you can’t solve what you don’t acknowledge.” Reality bites hard, and those who deny it usually get bitten.

One way to start solving the problem of exceptionally high immigration is to recognize the category of economic migrant officially and put a number on it. We let in millions of economic migrants every year and then engage in a sad spectacle of listening to their forced lies about being victims of political persecution. What do you think this teaches their children other than that posing as a fake victim in the US pays off?

Instead of this bizarre policy, we could simply publicize a number of economic migrants and a number of political refugees that will be accepted yearly. There are very few actual political refugees, so their number should be minuscule in comparison with that of economic migrants.

It costs no money to speak of to create a new, working definition of “asylum seeker” and “economic migrant.” Instead, the Biden administration has proposed to expand the definition of “asylum seeker” even more, inviting a growing number of people to lie to get into this country.

Making Oneself Obsolete

When these journalists get fired en masse, they’ll blame technology, capitalism and everything else except their own unprofessionalism and cluelessness.

Book Notes: Eric Rickstadt’s Silent Girls

Silent Girls is an excellent police procedural from an author I only now discovered. The novel is part of a series set in rural Vermont, which is attractive in and if itself. Rickstadt is a gifted plot creator, and he’s also downright talented in describing interiors of houses and apartments. He can explain everything about a character in a 4-sentence description of his room.

I’ve got to warn you, though. Rickstadt is very left-wing. It’s fashionable to call today’s left-wingers Marxists but this is outdated. They were Marxist 60 years ago but today they are the exact opposite. Rickstadt despises working-class people with a searing passion. Not only aren’t they the most progressive class, in his view, they are an absolute abomination.

Rickstadt despises the rich, too, but only because they are too religious. Where he found all those fanatically religious rich people is a mystery but, like all lefties, Rickstadt is obsessed with what he sees as the poisonous horror of Christianity. If only Christianity were as powerful as the Rickstadts of the world believe, we’d all be sitting pretty.

I’ll continue reading Rickstadt’s Vermont series because it’s rare to find great descriptions of interiors any more, and the tedium of his wokeness is not enough to scare me off.

Chaos versus Order

A suspect who was recently taken into custody for the murder of Georgia nursing student Laken Hope Riley, 22, has been identified as 26-year-old Jose Antonio Ibarra, an illegal immigrant. Riley was found dead near a lake on the University of Georgia’s campus in Athens last week with “visible injuries,” according to UGA Police Chief Jeff Clark. Riley, a nursing student at Augusta University, was found after a friend reported that she went for a run and failed to return.

https://www.hindustantimes.com/world-news/us-news/who-is-jose-antonio-ibarra-laken-rileys-killer-wasn-t-aggressive-says-wife-101708836060787.html

The article further details how Ibarra committed marriage fraud to advance his “asylum” claims and had trouble with the law until being arrested for the murder of a young woman. Ibarra, his brother and his “wife” led shiftless, disordered lives in the US, contributing nothing other than additional work for law enforcement. Finally, Ibarra was arrested for kidnapping, torturing and killing a young woman who was living an orderly, productive life.

This is a daily occurrence as 5 people a day are murdered by illegal migrants in this country. The Democrats in Congress betrayed Ukraine to make sure that more murders like these could take place in the US. Let’s not forget this.

Sad Hamsters

In the Russia that Tucker Carlson loves so much, when a person comes down in the world and loses status, people say that he now fucks hamsters.

Tucker Carlson now fucks a lot of hamsters and does it in clumsy, sad ways. I decided to watch a recent segment of his show on immigration. Tucker used to be great on immigration. So I thought, well, maybe he still has something valuable to say about it.

That immigration segment was the saddest of hamsters. Tucker was trying to make a point that people are persecuted politically in the US for speaking out against immigration. To prove that point, he invited an utterly unknown wife of some utterly unknown guy who says she doesn’t speak out against immigration herself but her husband does. And now she’s experiencing persecution in the form of Facebook refusing to return a video of her baby’s first steps that doesn’t exist on any other medium.

This absolute genius of a woman takes a video of an important private moment, uploads it to Facebook, and then for a reason nobody will ever fathom deletes it from all other devices and media. Which is all extremely interesting but what the everloving hamster does it have to do with immigration?

One would think there’s no shortage of outrageous stories one could tell about immigration. Instead Tucker chose this hamster of a story that was simply boring and failed to make any point other than that it’s a good idea to backup your baby videos.

Did the poor dude have a neurological episode? Because he used to be exceptional, and now he’s just bumbling around with a bunch of sad hamsters.

Navalny Strengthened the Putin Regime

Since people want to talk about Navalny – which I didn’t expect – I’ll explain my position regarding his anti-corruption work in Russia.

People think that Navalny was some sort of a fighter against the Putin regime but he never was. His only charges against Putin were that Putin stole money. And Putin’s charges against Navalny were that Navalny stole, too.

Everything Navalny did strengthened the regime. He trivialized Putin’s crimes, turning them into something insignificant. Russian people don’t mind that Putin has 14 castles. As long as he gives them what they want, he can have all the castles he needs. And he does give them exactly what they want: war, genocide, looting, rape, torture, and the resulting great self-esteem.

Navalny’s investigations were enormously helpful to the regime because you see them and you think, well, if this is the worst thing that Putin’s biggest opponents have on him, then he’s not that bad.

Voters anywhere on the planet don’t care that their politicians are rich and how those riches were acquired. Cf. Trump, Biden and Hillary Clinton supporters. It’s a commonplace in politics that voters will disregard a candidate’s wealth as long as they perceive an improvement in their own standard of living. Putin brought a marked improvement in the Russians’ standard of living. Do you know what regular Russians discuss the most in connection with the war in Ukraine? Domestic appliances. They are getting to loot a lot of domestic appliances. So now they live better because they have all those looted Ukrainian domestic appliances. Thanks to Putin.

If you didn’t have a flat-screen TV, and now you all of a sudden do, wouldn’t you be thankful to the politician who provided it for free, no matter how many yachts that politician had?

Putin is a moron. He’s a very, very stupid, uneducated, primitive person. That’s why he killed Navalny instead of continuing to use him to whitewash the regime.

Relaxation Activity

I have a new relaxation activity that’s very enjoyable. I listen to books on my Kindle in text-to-speech while playing Cooking Madness or Design Home on my phone.

Really clears my mind and de-stresses me.

Another Great Quote from John Gray

Today what drives these struggles is not just rivalry for power but insecurity. Surplus elites are waging a war for economic survival in which hyper-liberal values are commodified in the labour market. Woke is a career as much as a cult.

The New Leviathans

I’ve been saying for years on this blog that wokeness is a tool in job wars. But job wars sound nasty, so people find a moral purpose in their wokeness.

Donor Troubles

In the past couple of months, I’ve been receiving almost daily phone calls and texts messages from Yale asking me for donations. Before, they’d contact maybe twice a year.

I think they must have been abandoned by some of their rich donor, and are scraping the barrel to meet their donation goals.

I wonder at people who donate to schools with massive endowments instead of bringing their money to struggling colleges that work with students who really need help.
