I’m Scary

My hair is now the biggest it has ever been and it takes hard work to squeeze it under the swimming cap. When I finally manage to get it all under the cap, I look like a person with hydrocephalus. I’m afraid I will one day cause a heart attack to one of the senior citizens who come in for water aerobics class.

  1. I became really frustrated with my hair after I moved back to the midwest. I couldn’t find a stylist that I liked at all. Plus, I was paying a huge amount of money to get my hair cut and colored — about 130 dollars each time. And it never turned out the way I wanted it. So I decided I would watch some YouTube videos and see if I could cut it myself. I figured if I screwed it up, then I’d go somewhere and see if they could fix it. Much to my surprise, I managed to give myself the best hair cut I’ve had in years, and I’ve been able to trim as needed over the last few months. Coloring my hair is pretty easy, too. So I don’t go to the salon any more, and I don’t know that I’ll go again in the foreseeable future. I cut my husband’s hair, too, and it looks great.

I don’t know if you don’t want to get your hair cut, or if you don’t have time or whatever. I’ve just been recommending DIY hair cuts recently since I’m saving myself loads of money.

    1. Turn your head upside down after a shampoo and cut one layer of the hair curtain that forms with thinning scissors and the other layer more evenly (for a trim) about 6 inches apart from the thinned layer
