Right to Education

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled Tuesday that teacher tenure laws deprive students of their constitutional right to an education.

Having teachers teach them deprives students of their right to an education. In the meanwhile, being kept away from school altogether isn’t. Makes lots of sense. Tons.

  1. There is no constitutional right to an education. I suppose there’s a right not to have any government benefit (like education) distributed in an unequal or discriminatory fashion.
